In this episode, I sit down with Adam from Germany and discuss our day trip to Las Bardenas Reales de Navarra, a “semi-desert” and canyon in the Northern Spain. We also talk about a Spanish barbecue and how it differed from a barbecue in the U.S. and in Germany.

You can pull off anywhere along the 34km loop and explore in the designated area at Las Bardenas Reales. Naturally, we wanted to go to the top of the highest thing we could find. Photo: Sebastian Götz.

Spanish Barbecue

Here is the delicious seasoning that was used on the pork: Chimichurri. According to the trusty ol’ Wikipedia, its name is Basque although it was invented in Argentina and Uruguay by settlers from the Basque Country, less than 30 minutes from Pamplona, Spain where I first tried it.
